NECAL 9180S Pressure Sensitive Adhesive      Print Friendly Version

Adhesive Description:

NECAL 9180S is a supported film of pressure sensitive adhesive displaying high tack and good creep resistance. It is UL recognized to Standard UL 969 (PGGU2 Component - Marking and Labeling Systems Materials).

Features:
NECAL
9180S will adhere to many substrates.   The thickness of 9180S gives good conformability to rough or uneven surfaces (i.e. mold marks, etc.).

Physical Properties:
Composition: Acrylic based Adhesive
Release liner: Available with P or W liner
Thickness: Total construction 5.5 mils
Scrim: Nonwoven polyester 2.0 mils thick
Adhesion (PSTC-1 std.): 320 - 350 oz./in.
Tensile (Polyester to SS, 1 sq.in.): 180 p.s.i.
Shear adhesion (Polyester to SS, 1000 grams/sq.in.): 7 days +
Application temperature: 50°F Minimum
Service temperature range: -40°F minimum to 350°F maximum

Bonding Instructions:
Remove the release liner and apply mask to clean, dry substrate.  Use firm pressure to obtain maximum contact.  Use of air, hydraulic or mechanical bonding press is recommended with pressure of 40-60 p.s.i. with dwell time of 2-5 seconds.

Storage:
The shelf life of this material is two years when stored in a cool, dry place.

Adhesive Description:

NECAL 9175 is an unsupported film of pressure sensitive adhesive displaying excellent bond characteristics and good initial tack. It is UL recognized to Standard UL 969 (PGGU2 Component - Marking and Labeling Systems Materials).

Features:
NECAL
9175 will adhere to many substrates including aluminum, brass, steel, glass, enamels and plastics such as polystyrene, ABS, and acrylic.  Because of its thickness 9175 is recommended for use on rough surfaces.

Composition: Acrylic based Adhesive
Release liner: Available with P, W, H, HD, or VF liner
Thickness: Total construction 4.0 mils
Adhesion (PSTC-1 std.): 325 - 350 oz./in.
Tensile (Polyester to SS, 1 sq.in.): 180 p.s.i.
Shear adhesion (Polyester to SS, 1000 grams/sq.in.): 7 days +
Application temperature: 50°F Minimum
Service temperature range: -40°F minimum
Short-term (Minutes/hours): 400°F maximum
Long-term (Days/weeks): 300°F maximum
