NECAL 1330FP Pressure Sensitive Adhesive      Print Friendly Version

Adhesive Description:

NECAL 1330FP is a foam supported pressure sensitive adhesive.

Features:
NECAL 1330FP is a lightweight, conformable pressure sensitive tape for window flashing and housewrap film splicing.

Physical Properties:
Composition: Rubber based adhesive
Release liner: Available with W liner
Thickness: Total construction 30 mil + or – 10%
Scrim: White Polyethylene foam

Peel:

(1)  Foam split failure
(2)  Tyvek split failure
(3)  All samples reinforced with 2 mil polyester film as test values exceeded foam strength.
(4)  Samples bonded at 20ºF, left at 20°F for 15 min. then tested at room temp.
(5)  Samples were taken down, had not failed and showed little or no movement.

Permeability
Water vapor transmission rate: .04 or less grams per hour
Water absorption: 200 or less grams per square meter
Permeability is based on foam material only without adhesive.  Testing with adhesive would reduce water vapor and absorption considerably.

Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be dry, smooth, and free of dust, dirt, and debris.  Any loose debris must be cleaned off before application.

Application:
Cut pieces to be adhered to length.  Remove release liner, position and smooth into place from one end to the other eliminating as many air pockets as possible.  Apply based on local code and or standard building practices.  Overlaps should be a minimum of 2 inches.

Storage:
The shelf life of this material is two years when stored in a cool, dry place.

Notice:
The information shown here represents typical values that may vary with each application.  The values are not intended to be a performance guarantee.  Users should determine, prior to use, the suitability of this material for their application.
