NECAL 8493 Pressure Sensitive Adhesive      Print Friendly Version

Adhesive Description:

NECAL 8493 is a supported rubber based pressure sensitive adhesive displaying high tack and good creep resistance.

Features:
NECAL 8493 will adhere to many substrates, including polyethylene and polypropylene.

Physical Properties:
Composition: Rubber based adhesive
Release liner: Available with P or W liner
Thickness: Total construction 4 mils
Scrim: 48 gauge polyester
Adhesion (PSTC-1 std.): 60 oz./in.
Tensile (Polyester to SS, 1 sq.in.): 137 p.s.i.
Shear adhesion (Polyester to SS, 1000 grams/sq.in.): 7 days +
Application temperature: 50°F Minimum
Service temperature range: -40°F minimum to 170°F maximum

Bonding Instructions:
Remove the release liner and apply mask to clean, dry substrate.  Use firm pressure to obtain maximum contact.  Use of air, hydraulic or mechanical bonding press is recommended with pressure of 40-60 p.s.i. with dwell time of 2-5 seconds.

Storage:
The shelf life of this material is al least two years when stored in a cool, dry place.

NECAL 8194 Pressure Sensitive Adhesive      Print Friendly Version

Adhesive Description:

NECAL 8194 is a supported pressure sensitive adhesive that has been designed for high performance requirements in “membrane switch” applications.

Features:
NECAL8194 exhibits excellent diecuttability and shows no adhesive ooze even after extensive aging.  Adhesion is good to most substrates exhibiting repositionability due to lower initial tack but will build to a superior bond after 24-48 hours.  8194, with excellent heat, UV and chemical resistance, is recommended for high performance applications.

Physical Properties:
Composition: Acrylic based adhesive
Release liner: Available with P, W, H, HD, VF liner
Thickness: Total construction 5.0 mil
Scrim: .001 gauge polyester
Adhesion (PSTC-1 std.): Initial: 80-100 oz./in.  Aged: 170-180 oz./in.
Tensile (Polyester to SS, 1 sq.in.): 130 p.s.i.
Shear adhesion (Polyester to SS, 1000 grams/sq.in.): 7 days +
Application temperature: 60°F Minimum
Service temperature range: -40°F minimum to 400°F maximum

Bonding Instructions:
Remove the release liner and apply mask to clean, dry substrate.  Use firm pressure to obtain maximum contact.  Use of air, hydraulic or mechanical bonding press is recommended with pressure of 40-60 p.s.i. with dwell time of 2-5 seconds.

Features:
NECAL 8193 will adhere to many substrates.

Composition: Acrylic based adhesive
Release liner: Available with P, W, H, HD, J, VF liner
Thickness: Total construction 4.0 mil
Scrim: .00048 mil polyester
Adhesion (PSTC-1 std.): 200-220 oz./in.
Tensile (Polyester to SS, 1 sq.in.): 65 p.s.i.
Shear adhesion (Polyester to SS, 1000 grams/sq.in.): 7 days +
Application temperature: 50°F Minimum
Service temperature range: -40°F minimum to 195°F maximum

Bonding Instructions:
Remove the release liner and apply mask to clean, dry substrate.  Use firm pressure to obtain maximum contact.  Use of air, hydraulic or mechanical bonding press is recommended with pressure of 40-60 p.s.i. with dwell time of 2-5 seconds.

Adhesive Description:

NECAL 8192 is a white or black foam supported adhesive with superior tack.

Features:
NECAL 8192 is primarily intended for applications with extremely rough substrates such as cast iron, cement, etc.  8192 has excellent impact and vibration resistance.  8192 has excellent adhesion to polyethylene and polypropylene as well as other substrates.

Physical Properties:
Composition: Rubber based adhesive
Release liner: Available with P or W liner
Thickness: Total construction 32 mil + or – 10%
Scrim: White Polyethylene closed-cell foam
Adhesion (PSTC-1 std.): 160-170 oz./in., 80-100 to polyethylene and polypropylene
Tensile (Polyester to SS, 1 sq.in.): 65 p.s.i. foam failure
Shear adhesion (Polyester to SS, 1000 grams/sq.in.): 7 days +
Application temperature: 50°F Minimum
Service temperature range: -40°F minimum to 170°F maximum

Adhesive Description:

NECAL 4500 is a high strength, high shear, pressure sensitive adhesive that displays very aggressive initial tack, used only to manufacture label stock.It is UL recognized to Standard UL 969 (PGGU2 Component - Marking and Labeling Systems Materials).

Features:
NECAL 4500 has excellent adhesion to most substrates, including polyethylene and polypropylene.

Physical Properties:
Composition: Rubber based adhesive
Release liner: Available with P, P1, W or W1 liner
Thickness: Total construction 1.0 – 2.0 mils dependent upon application
Scrim: 2 mil chrome, 2 mil brush chrome, 1 mil mylar, 2 mil mylar, and 4 mil mylar
Adhesion: 80-100 oz./in. | 40 – 50 oz./in. to polyethylene and polypropylene
Tensile: 70 p.s.i.
Shear Adhesion: 7 days +
Application temperature: 50°F Minimum
Service temperature range: -40°F minimum to 170°F maximum
